Hey Wez, Thank's very much for your very efficient sorting out of the missing clamp - arrived yesterday. The kit is great. The hi-hat pedal was a bit lacking in sensitivity, so I got a replacement rubber actuator from Roland (their service dept is very helpful) and it's all sorted. Just wanted to say a huge thanks to Andy for spending a whole afternoon helping/guiding me on which size kick drum I wanted/needed. I eventually decided on a 22x20 with a lovely deep, punchy sound. Not only was Andy's advice and knowledge invaluable, but the deal on a set of shells, snare and cymbals was nothing short of fantastic, and greatly appreciated. I ended up with a beautiful maple Sonor 3007 rock kit, natural high gloss finish (sweet as), a Worldmax 3mm steel snare (ear-bursting), and a gorgeous set of Istanbul Xist cymbals (hats, 16 & 18 crash, 20 ride). Gigged them on sat night and they were absolutely spot on, sounded exactly like Andy said they would, and impressed punters and the rest of the band alike.I've been using the drum shop for about 4 years now and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Andy, Mick, Wes, and Gav are simply the best out there BAR NONE! Keep up the fantastic service you provide boys, and once again, cheers Andy, you played a blinder! John. C. (Local walloper) X.

Are you still able to get in a 21" traditional original ride? the 20" medium that I bought sounds excellent but I would still be interested in hearing the 21" if possible (it may be a dryer/jazzier sound which is nearer to what Im looking for)

It is really fantastic to play on and as I am having drum lessons, it is fantastic to practice on, once again thank you all very much Drum Shop and we will come to you if we need any other drum equipment, thanks Adrienne Recently I placed an order, and instead of deducting the VAT we agreed to include some Tama sticks. You asked if I could provide a short review once I had used them for a time: Normally I wouldn't have bought these sticks. I tend to prefer Pro-Mark oak sticks, so these were something of an experiment, as Tama isn't a brand I would normally associate with sticks, and I have always preferred the slightly heavier oak sticks. However, I was pleasantly surprised by these sticks. They are well balanced, which is something I especially look for as I tended to use Pro-Mark 747 sticks in the past, which are slightly longer than standard 5A sticks. I play rock, mainly, and am quite a hard hitter - but these sticks showed no more signs of wear after a couple of gigs than my Pro-Mark sticks did after a few weeks. The wood tips provide a nice sound on cymbals and drums, and are just as easy to bounce and generally handle as any other stick from more well known stick manufacturers like Pro-Mark, Vic Firth or Vater. Thanks a lot for supplying me with the DW kurillian birch /sky blue kit,(22,10,12 and14) It has to be the best sounding, best looking kit I have ever owned. The first thing that struck me was the overall build quality, the finish is absolutely outstanding not to mention the superb standard of workmanship and chrome on the metal fittings. As you may remember, I have been using a kit with Birch shells for the last few years, but It wasn’t long before I was won over by the rich, warm sounds of these DW maple shells, they have just the right amount of attack too. The kit sets up perfectly using the DW double tom and single tom/cymbal arm stands making it quite a compact setup. I am totally knocked out with this kit!
