Kpanlogo 11" x 26" Kambala
The Kpanlogo is a similar shape to a conga and around the same height as a djembe, its a very traditional west African drum. The very durable unshaven goat skin is stretched over the top of the drum and held in place by pegs, the shell of the drum is carved out of a single piece of wood. This drum was usually called the peg drum for the dance it was originally played for. The Kpanlogo is usually played with your hands, a stick or both. They are often played in a part of a African band with Djembes and congas.
Please note the image is not to scale and the colour may vary as these drums are handcrafted.
