70's era Pearl "Wood-Fibreglass" Shell Pack in Blue Satin.
This is a great opportunity to own an original 1970's era Pearl "Wood-Fibreglass" drum set. Originally released in the early 70's these kits were a hybrid combination featuring 9-ply wood shells and 1/32" layer of fibreglass. This helped create an incredibly loud sound. Thanks to modern advancements in drum head technology people have found a way to harness the natural loudness while maintaining its unique tone. This has seen a recent resurgence and demand for the "Wood-Fibreglass" range. This particular kit comes in a stunning Blue Satin complete with chrome fittings. As expected of a kit of this age it does have a few small scuffs, scrapes and small amount of pitting in the chrome, but is in overall good used condition. There is a bass drum mounted accessory clamp, which at some point has been fitted on the opposite side leaving two blanking bolts. The kit comes complete with lightly used Remo Weatherking coated heads.
If you like Pearl drums and are looking for vintage kit that can only appreciate in value then you may have just found the kit.
A great piece of 1970's Pearl drums history and rare drum kit.
