The multiple sensors on the tom and crash cymbal prevents hotspots, like in previous electronic equipment, which caused abnormally loud sound to be produced when the center of the head was struck, meaning that the sound module had to narrow the width of the dynamics to make these hotspots less obtrusive. Consistent sensitivity for the striking surface is vital as it makes it possible for you to express the full range you desire! The tom's side rim offers a stunning contrast between the natural wood and the lacquer paint, and uses the maple material that's ideal for ATV's newly developed frequency-specific detection technology, this all makes it easier to play side stick. To ensure great playability, the side stick sound and the strike feel of wood are perfectly matched. To give you much more freedom in your performance ATV have made rim shot and side stick available to be played separately, too!
The crash cymbal includes plenty design details that work together to create a playing experience as close to that of an acoustic cymbal! The cymbal can be played and choked anywhere around it's full circumference, this means there's no longer any need for rotation stoppers that prevent natural cymbal motion. To see how the newly designed pivot allows the cymbal to swing naturally in all directions, simply place the cymbal on the stand. This isn't the only natural detail this cymbal replicates, the whole cymbal flexes and wobbles when it's thin tapered edge is struck.
The ADA-TCS Tom/Cymbal stand holds this set together... literally! This stand can hold both the tom and the cymbal that are also included in this set.
