Dream Dark Matter 22" Flat Earth Ride Cymbal
The Dark Matter Series from Dream, are a unique and individual range of cymbals. All Dream Dark Matter Cymbals are created from an exclusive process in which the cymbals are fired twice. After being fired for the second time, the cymbals are repeatedly heated and hand hammered, they are then rapidly cooled by being immersed into cold water. This process enables all of the ash, soot and impurities from firing to be locked into the metal. This intense method which involves months of ageing to mature the cymbals, allows Dream to produce complex and profound results. The Dark Matter Series are dense and completely un-lathed, producing an excellent stick response.
The Dark Matter 22" Flat Earth Ride Cymbal is impressively dry and exceptionally complex. Expressive in nature, the 22" Flat Earth Ride is a responsive ride which is double tempered with a small bell and very flat bow.
The 22" Flat Earth Ride has a slightly deeper tone than the 20" Flat Earth Ride and with much more potential for loud volume output. The double firing method infused into the Dark Matter Series allows this Flat Earth Ride the ability to achieve two distinct ends of the sound spectrum; a dry, deep tone at the lower end and an incredible range of high volume sounds.
