On May 1st, 2024, we welcomed Zack Graybeal (aka ZackGrooves), to DRUMSHOP for a special one-off Drum Clinic. This clinic was in association with Dixon Drums whom Zack is endorsed by.
Zack Greybeal (aka Zack Grooves), is a drummer who started his career in small jazz clubs and bars in the North Carolina area. He started posting on YouTube where things really took off for the young drummer.
Zack became one of the fastest growing drum channels on the platform not only because of his unique way of playing, but also his “unconventional” ways of teaching. Zack presents his passion for drums and music in a fun and not-so-serious way which is why we believe so many people find his channel accessible. There are a lot of jokes involved but an even equal amount of love for music.
“I never cared about followers or numbers, I’m just a guy who likes to play drums and have fun doing so”, Zack says.
Founded in 1979, Dixon believes that all drummers are on a common mission, and that's why they combine their commitment to producing top-notch drums with their deep respect for the drumming community. This fusion of skilful craftsmanship and a sense of togetherness paves the way for their future, where the happiness and collaboration among players are just as important as the actual product. Their focus lies in building strong relationships, providing education, and making a positive impact on people's lives.

The shop was full to the brim of excited customers waiting to see Zack, it was an amazing turn out. There was a wide range of ages, and a lot of familiar faces.
Zack went played through some of his tracks, went through the fundamentals and key aspects of drumming, answered questions, and even got a couple of audience members on his kit to help demonstrate his answers.
