Introducing the incredible collaboration between British Drum Co. and, Nicko McBrain, the BDC International Ambassador and Iron Maiden member. Together, they created a one-of-a-kind drum kit that is tailored to your personal preferences while still capturing the essence of Nicko's iconic sound.
This extraordinary concept, named Icarus, is a powerful and visually stunning beast. Derived from the legendary Legend Series drums, the Icarus drumkit showcases a unique blend of materials. It combines Oak and 100% Scandinavian Birch shells, resulting in a kit that exudes a distinct warmth, taking your playing experience to new heights.
Not only does the Icarus drumkit sound amazing, but it also looks absolutely elegant. The flawless Black Oak interior is complemented by a breathtaking Black Fishtail Oak finish on the outer shell. Adding to its striking design are hand-cut pinstripes made from a vibrant red veneer, perfectly harmonizing with the inner face of the bass drum hoops.
Icarus burst onto the world scene at the NAMM event in 2020. There are so many cool things about this kit: the unique Icarus badge, the vibrant red interior that gives the whole set a warm and theatrical glow, and the red dice that come in handy when there are more than six stands. Icarus isn't just made for rocking out with Maiden, it's a true reflection of Nicko's personal style.
