Pre-Loved Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute Nouveau 5-piece Shell Pack in Black Sparkle
Not to be confused with the Maple Custom Series, the Absolute series uses thinner shells (7-ply 7mm bass and 6-ply 6mm toms), which provide a livelier, more resonant sound, with more focus on the lower frequency range. YAMAHA's shell incorporates the innovative "air-seal" system, resulting in consistently high-quality shells that resonate exceptionally. This system not only enhances the shell's resonance but also ensures its durability, eliminating the need for reinforcing hoops despite its thin design.
The Nouveau lugs are designed to hook onto bolts that are connected to the shell, enabling the lug casings to "float" without making direct contact with the shell. By minimizing the hardware attached to the drum shell, this design promotes free vibration of the shell.
Yamaha's Y.E.S.S. (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting system includes brackets that are secured to the shell using just two bolts, positioned at or close to the nodal point. The tom mount's support arm does not pierce through the shell, resulting in limited contact between the mount and the drum, thus enabling the drum to vibrate without hindrance.
