The Performance Series is handcrafted in Oxnard, California from 100% North American Hard Rock Maple. These drums utilize DW’s groundbreaking shell construction and drum hardware to deliver you a complete instrument.
All Performance Series™ shells are built with DW’s patented HVX™ technique, which features 100% Maple plies with grains oriented in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal patterns for low, punchy fundamentals. This bass drum has 60-degree bearing edges.
Performance Series™ lugs offer a quarter-sized version of the iconic turret design. True-Pitch® tuning features 5mm threads rather than the standard 12/24. There’s a thread every 0.8mm on DW True-Pitch® rods or about 20% more threads, versus a standard thread every 1.05mm. The result is more exact tuning. Performance Series kits feature True-Pitch® TP30 steel tuning rods.
