As soon as I heard that Gretsch had designed an expandable bass drum for their new street drum kit I knew I’d love it!
I’m always intrigued by new ideas and the Gretsch Catalina Street Drum Kit caught my eye straight away, so I thought I’d write a blog to share all the cool features of this new drum kit with you!
The new Catalina Street comes as a 4-piece shell pack with the main feature being the 16” x 12”-14.5” Bass Drum. It’s so easy to adjust, with just a few turns of a drum key you can take your bass drum from a traditional jazzy sound at 12” to a powerful booming sound at 14.5”.
This new drum kit is like a dream come true for all you gigging drummers out there! Don’t be fooled by the small set-up of this Gretsch Catalina, it still has a powerful sound and amazing projection that will blow you away! The Catalina Street drum kit is suitable for all genres and will fit in any pub or club, so no matter what you’re playing or where you’re playing, this versatile drum kit will have your back!
Gretsch have another trick up their sleeve for the new Catalina drum kit!
The Gretsch Catalina Street is probably the most portable acoustic drum kit I’ve ever seen, like ever! All 4 drums pack away in 2 drum cases, so there’ll be no more running backwards and forwards to your car in the rain after a gig, just tear-down, pack up and you’re ready to go! Included with this drum kit is the Gibraltar cymbal arm with GS-9025 bracket. The cymbal arm is built into the bass drum, meaning there’s no need for an extra cymbal stand, even less to carry… Sounds pretty ideal if you ask me!
This new mahogany drum kit is available in two different sparkle finishes, silver or red? Take your pick! Both finishes look great and are completed with chrome hardware which compliments both colours.
This Gretsch drum kit is available from early June 2013, so you’ve only got a few weeks to wait before you could own one of these beauties for yourself!
We can tell they’re going to be popular, so if you’re after one of these outstanding gigging drum kits give us a call on 0191 418 7113 to pre-order yours today!
Maisie :)
