Drum Kits.
Design Series.
This year DW are releasing a new entry level drum kit with a street price of around £1,699. The new 'Design’ series beginner drum kit brings a bunch of high-end features to the table that aren’t typically found in entry level models. Each of the toms from the Design series have true pitch tuning and feature the DW suspension mounting system. All of the Design series shells are North American Maple and have been built with DW technology using HVLT shells, a vertical inner ply and a horizontal outer. This new starter drum kit comes complete with DW Remo drum heads and DW’s mini turret lugs. You’re able to buy this DW drum kit as a shell pack of 10”, 12”, 16”, 22” and also have the option of add on drums 8”, 14” and 18”, 22” bass drums. If you’re searching for a new drum kit for a new drummer the DW design drum kit is definitely worth considering!
Collectors Series.
DW have introduced a new series of cherry wood shells available from the DW Collectors series. The cherry wood shells have a fantastic sound, they give you more punch than maple but aren’t as bright as birch. As seen in the video below, one of the finishes available for the new DW Collectors cherry wood drum kits is the beautiful white glass finish.
Snare Drums.
New DW Edge.
The snare drum that’s got everyone talking is the new limited edition DW Edge. This 14” x 6” Edge snare drum has been built in collaboration with Sabian cymbals and there are only going to be 50 made worldwide. The rings on this DW snare dum have been crafted from melted down Sabian cymbals (B20 bronze) that have been played in the past by Sabian artists. The inner shell is made from a unique piece of birch wood which was found by John Good in Moosehead Lake, Maine. This creative snare drum has been finished in antique bronze and comes complete with a new style DW snare drum case.

DW Performance Series:
The new Performance snare drum comes in a beautiful natural lacquer and is available in 14” x 8” and 13” x 7”.
DW Jazz Series:
This year DW have introduced a new finish to the Jazz snare drum… The Gold Galaxy.
DW Collectors Series:
As mentioned in the DW drum kits section above, cherry wood shells have been introduced to the Collectors drums and so now available as 14” x 5.5” or 14” x 6.5” snare drums.
DW 40th Anniversary:
To celebrate 40 years as The Drummer’s Choice DW have created a beautiful 40th anniversary snare drum with only 40 of these special drums being made world wide. The Tamo Ash over Maple shell features an inlay mark of tree which gives this snare drum that all important finishing touch.
DW Metal:
The new metal snare drum has been constructed from 1mm rolled aluminium and has a simple matte grey finish. Available in 14” x 5.5” and 14” x 6.5”.
DW Concrete:
Yes you heard correctly! DW have released a 'never been done before’ concrete snare drum! It comes in two sizes, 14” x 5.5” and 14” x 6.5” and is perfect for both live and studio applications. This unique snare drum has a dry, focused sound and brings you plenty of volume!
DW PDP:
The all-new limited edition PDP snare drum has a thick 20-ply Birch shell and DW components with a copper true tone snare wire and MAG throw off.
Black Nickel Over Brass:
This DW snare drum is now available in the deeper sizes of 14” x 8” and 13” x 7”.
NEW drum fittings!
When buying a snare drum from DW’s Collectors range you now have the option of Nickel drum fittings!
