Emily Dolan Davies grabs a rare Yamaha 9000 drum kit from us…
Its always nice when you sell a drum kit to someone who is totally passionate about drums and playing. Its been a while since I wrote a blog but after speaking to Emily Dolan Davies and checking out her playing has inspired me to put fingers to keyboard and type a few words.
We have a lot of girls who play drums here at Drum Shop UK and a lot who I am sure will be proud to know that the girls get the gig. When I spoke to Emily she was looking for a kit we had in stock which was one of the first drum sets I ever owned, a Yamaha 9000. The Yamaha 9000 drum kit that Emily bought from us was in deep aqua which is pretty rare find! I was really please that someone who is as passionate about playing drums as Emily managed to get a hold of this rare drum kit. Emily is naming her Yamaha 9000 Levan, we are sure Levan will serve you well..
Emily has played with many big names in the industry including Brian Ferry, Jarvis Cocker, Bono are to name but a few and is now touring with Cher Lloyd who most of us know from the X Factor. Emily is a great ambassador for girls and boys wanting to get the gig with a big band.
