ITS BACK DRUM STARS NIGHT AT SHEEPFOLDS Sunderland 15th of September 2

Drumstars Live Band Night Is Back!

Following the incredible success of our first-ever Drumstars Live Band Night, we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be returning to Sheepfolds Stables Sunderland for another unforgettable evening of live music!

The event gives Drumstars students the exciting opportunity to perform on a professional stage alongside experienced musicians. Each student will choose two songs from our specially selected song list, and we’ll choose one of their top two choices for them to perform on the night.

Taking to the stage can feel daunting, but the last event showed just how rewarding the experience can be. Nineteen brave students performed in front of their families and friends, creating a fantastic atmosphere and memories that will last for years.

This year’s event will once again take place at Sheepfolds Stables in Sunderland—an outstanding venue featuring a spacious, professional stage, independent restaurants and a great selection of bars. Family and friends can enjoy food and drinks while supporting our performers and experiencing a brilliant evening of live music.

You don’t have to be a current Drumstars student to take part. This is a community event open to drummers who would love the opportunity to perform with a live band. Just get in touch with us as soon as possible to register your interest.

Super excited to see the students and band play some of these great tunes.

Students played top of the range drum kits as the night was kindly sponsored by Sonor Drums. The Sonor SQ2 in White Pearl sounded absolutely phenomenal and this year will be no except using Sonor SQ2 drum kits, so a chance to experience playing on a professional drum kit and using the excellent Istanbul Mehmet cymbals.

Daddario who are just up the road from us are supporting the event with Evans drum heads and Pro Mark drumsticks check out Daddario website.

Young Lennon giving it all.

After coming off stage, every performer was given a goody bag that contained a free T-shirt to remember the event, stickers, pens and every performer received a free pair of RAMRODS.

What awaits the young stars of tomorrow for them?

The response to the event has been overwhelming. I have personally received so many messages from parents, students and audience members telling me how much they enjoyed it and how beneficial it was for the performers’ confidence and drumming. That’s why we’re doing it all again!

It was a fantastic night. Here are a few images from the event, and we look forward to seeing you all again.

Oh, and remember—Sheepfolds has some fantastic places to eat, including “PROPA” from our dear friend Si King of the Hairy Bikers, who is also a great drummer and percussionist, and Vito’s Osteria, run by the wonderfully talented Vito, plus many, many more.

Si, Rob and Steve doing their thing.

Steve White from Paul Weller, The Who, Oasis, Family Silver plus many more world class acts joined us to host the evening... Thanks Whitey
