The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving sales and providing exceptional customer service. The Retail Salesperson will be responsible for taking sales from the online store, face to face sales, and assisting customers in selecting the right products, both online and in-person on the shop floor. Additionally, the candidate will engage with customers through the Live Chat system, respond to emails and tickets in real-time, and ensure that every customer receives the attention and support they need.
As a key contributor to the sales success, the Retail Salesperson will work with the team to develop and implement promotions to drive sales and build brand awareness. The candidate will also maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring that Drum Shop has the latest products and best deals available to customers. Moreover, the Retail Salesperson will be responsible for helping to maintaining the online store, online orders, updating product information, managing and updating shop displays, pricing, and general shop duties.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must possess excellent sales, communication, and problem-solving skills, be familiar with retail, and have a strong desire to work within the musical instrument industry. The candidate should also enjoy social media and be able to work as part of a team. Drum Shop is committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional development.
The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of retail sales experience and knowledge of drumming or a musical instrument. Basic knowledge of SEO, good excel skills, and good iPhone photo skills for social media are also required.
This is a part-time role, with 24 hours per week, with possible full-time hours in the future. The work location is at Drum Shop Washington, located in Newcastle upon Tyne, NE37 2SF.
