The Dark Energy Cymbals are best suited for soft to medium loud settings in genres such a Jazz, Swing, Blues, Latin, R&B, Pop, Country and moderate Rock. Paiste’s Dark Energy Mark 2 Ride has an great responsive feel and is extremely controllable. Similar to the Mark 1 Ride, this Cymbal is extremely versatile, an is ideal for wide ranging application in modern blended music styles. This Cymbal is a Mark 2, meaning it tends to be a bit livelier and brighter than the Mark 1 Rides available from the Dark Energy range. The Mark 2 also has slightly more volume potential due to its more open character.
