A true centrepiece from the golden era of drum manufacturing, this 1970s Ludwig Octa-Plus kit is an extraordinary example of Ludwig’s ambition at the height of the rock era. Designed for drummers who wanted power, scale, and visual impact, the Octa-Plus configuration features an expansive multi-tom layout that defined the sound and look of arena rock throughout the decade. What makes the Octa-Plus special is its legendary eight-tom configuration, giving players a massive tonal range from sharp, cutting highs to deep, thunderous lows.
Its distinctive layout, iconic Ludwig craftsmanship, and unmistakable 1970s aesthetic make it highly sought after by collectors and serious players alike.
Kit Configuration:
- Bass Drums x 2: 22" x 18"
- Toms: 6", 8", 10", 12" 13", 14", 15"
- Floor Tom: 18"
Please Note the 16" tom which was with the original kit is missing
Condition:
- In Fair Pre Loved Condition - This drum kit is fully working with structurally sound shells and no cracks, but shows clear signs of use as you would expect of a kit of this age. Cosmetic wear includes rust & pitting on hardware, worn heads, peeling wrap and general scratches and marks to the finish. Please be aware that the tom mounts for the bass drums do not fully fit and are held in place with a memory lock, ideally these will need to be replaced.
