Sonor Vintage 16" x 14" Floor Tom (VT 16 1614 FT)
The Sonor Vintage series is crafted in Germany with the goal of revisiting the 'classic sonor sound' while introducing new features to keep it up to the task of modern playing. The floor tom shells are made with premium German beech wood which produces an impressive sound of pronounced highs and mids with a great low-end punch. The shell also features round bearing edges which allows you more head contact, this produces a beefier and shorter sound.
The Vintage Series follows the design and sound of the classic 1960's Sonor Teardrop kit, so the vintage series features classic teardrop lugs, superprofil hoops and chrome plated hardware. The lugs have been fitted with the patented TuneSafe system which provides maximum tuning stability and the superprofil hoops have been redesigned to feature a 2.3mm triple flanged steel hoop while still holding to their original shape.
