TAMA Spartan Ultralight Hardware Kit: what is included?

The TAMA Spartan Ultralight Hardware Kit (HS4S) is a four-stand package designed to reduce the weight of your hardware setup. For drummers carrying their own gear to rehearsals and gigs, it is a practical upgrade to consider alongside a shell pack.

  • HS70S: Spartan snare stand
  • HC72S: Spartan straight cymbal stand
  • HC73BS: Spartan boom cymbal stand
  • HH75DS: Spartan hi-hat stand

Plan separately for your bass drum pedal and drum throne: neither is listed among the four included stands.

Sakae Evolved Gen2 shell packs: six sizes and finishes

These Sakae Osaka Heritage Evolved Gen2 kits are handcrafted in Japan with American maple shells. Our selection spans compact 18-inch bass drum configurations through to 22-inch setups, with lacquer and sparkle finishes that give each kit a distinctive look.

Fire & Water Sparkle is one of six finishes in this Sakae Evolved Gen2 selection. Cymbals, snare and stands are not included.

The headline 18-, 20- or 22-inch measurement refers to the bass drum diameter. Compare the complete drum configuration as well as the finish: the number and sizes of rack and floor toms vary between these shell packs.

What else will you need? These Sakae listings exclude the snare drum, cymbals and stands. Included tom holders vary by configuration, so check the individual product page before completing your setup.

Gretsch Pro Tour gig bags and hardware trolley

A new kit deserves bags that fit properly. Browse the Gretsch bags and cases range for snare, tom, floor tom and bass drum options, then match the bag to your drum's diameter and depth.

Moving stands as well? The Gretsch Pro Tour Hardware Trolley, 95 × 31 × 31 cm is another option to explore. Check your folded hardware dimensions against the listing before choosing a bag.

Questions about these new drum arrivals

Does a shell pack include everything needed to play?

A shell pack is a drum package, and its contents depend on the listing. The Sakae packs featured here exclude snare drums, cymbals and stands. Check included fittings and allow for any pedals, throne and accessories you need.

Which Craviotto snare should I explore for a darker sound?

The 14 × 6-inch walnut model is a good starting point for low-mid warmth and a darker character. The ash model is worth comparing if you prefer a more pronounced attack. Your choice of heads and tuning will also affect the result.
