The Gretsch Catalina Club has been a favourite with drummers since its introduction in the early 2000s, combining classic Gretsch character with practical, player-friendly hardware.

This R424 configuration pairs a full-sized 22" x 14" bass drum with a 12" x 8" rack tom and deep 16" x 16" floor tom. It delivers more low-end weight and projection than the smaller Jazz configurations while retaining the quick, punchy response of Catalina Club's 14"-deep bass drum. The matching 14" x 6.5" snare adds extra body and completes a versatile setup suited to rehearsals, recording and live performance.

The drums use Gretsch Formula 7-ply mahogany shells with traditional 30-degree bearing edges for a warm, punchy and vintage-inspired sound. Chrome fittings, matching lacquer bass drum hoops, the Mini GTS suspension system and low-profile brackets give the kit a clean look and dependable setup.
