Snare Drum Tuning & Set-Up – Important Information:

  • Transit: Drum heads can naturally change tension during transportation and because of changes in temperature or humidity. Minor re-tuning may therefore be required after delivery.
  • Tuning preference: Unless otherwise agreed, we will tune the kit to a balanced, general-purpose tuning suitable for the drum sizes and heads supplied. Final tuning is subjective and may require minor adjustment to suit your playing style, room, musical style or personal preference.

Key Features:

  • 13" x 6" 16-ply maple/mahogany shell
  • 4 mahogany / 8 maple / 4 mahogany ply layout
  • Sharp 30-degree bearing edges
  • 2.5mm triple-flanged hoops
  • 20-strand steel snare wires with Full Range throw-off

This 13-inch maple/mahogany model combines a compact, focused feel with a powerful backbeat. Its sharp 30-degree edges bring out a cutting attack, while the mahogany outer plies add a darker undertone that keeps the drum sounding full rather than thin.
