The Ludwig Black Beauty LB417 is one of the most iconic and sought-after brass snare drums ever produced, delivering a rich, powerful sound with the unmistakable warmth and character that has made it a studio and stage favourite.
Its 14" x 6.5" seamless brass shell is finished in black nickel and produces a full-bodied metallic tone with a strong low-mid presence, crisp articulation and plenty of projection. The deeper 6.5" shell adds extra depth and authority, while remaining responsive enough for detailed ghost notes and controlled playing at lower volumes.

Condition:
- In Good Pre Loved Condition - In full working order with no cracks or structural damage to the shell. There are small scratches and chips to the finish, additionally there are heavier scratches on the shell under the hoops but nothing that affects playability. Additionally the original snare wire has been replaced by with a Puresound 20 strand snarewire. Overall, the snare is in good condition with only cosmetic imperfections consistent with regular use.
