Percussion instructor and shop owner Herb Brochestein founded Promark back in 1957, in Houston, Texas where it's still based today! Since it's first years, Promark has became a widely known stick company, being the first company to introduce Japanese Shira-Kashi white oak into the American market, successfully becoming the only company to market oak sticks in the United States, and, in 2011, they became part of D'Addario. More recently, they have chosen to use non-endangered wood and a "green" finishing process, this makes their sticks and manufacturing process safer to each of their players and to the environment!
The Promark Hanging Mallet Bag is constructed from weatherproof ballistic nylon, making it able to withstand wear and tear — both on and off the stage. This bag features plenty storage - enough to accommodate a full mallet collection, as well as being designed to fit 2 bags across any 4.3 octave marimba or full size vibraphone, a on-the-fly rain guard flaps for quick cover from the elements, being engineered to open 180 degrees across, whilst being able to maintain an open position when in use for quick stick changes, and can securely hang on marimbas, vibraphones, and xylophones. This bag has been field tested and approved by the 18 time World Champion Concord Blue Devils!
