Each block is designed and handmade in the USA using hardwood that has been sourced exclusively from sustainably managed forests. The handcrafted process of selection, creation and completion is all for one specific reason; to ensure unrivalled quality time and time again. The medium sized hardwood percussion block has a substantial weight of 318 grms with dimensions of 17.8 x 6.4 x 4.4 cm, whilst the finish is gloriously natural, showing off all of the organic qualities of the wood that make it so desirable. Also included alongside the percussion block is a a hard rubber mallet which has a stick length of 7.5" and a 1" diameter ball head.
The sound produced from this percussion block well surpasses that of a plastic percussion block, the sounds produced are louder, more resonant and definitely more distinctive. A richness can be achieved with wood that just isn't there with plastic blocks, not only that a vast range of sound can be achieved from this block. One thing to note with this hardwood percussion block is that in certain spots such as the the centre of the block and near the centre edge it has a sweet spot that when struck creates a loud pop that really does resonate.
